The Sky Is The Limit Basketball . . . provides a competitive, structured, and camper-centered learning environment with a focus on the following core areas:

  • Fundamental and advanced skill development stations
  • Conditioning, speed, and agility stations
  • Strength and resistance training 
  • Basketball rules and terminology
  • Full court/cross-court scrimmage games
  • Learning initiatives that support early childhood development:  “How to Handle Bullying”, “Decision Making and Problem Solving”, "Healthy Eating", and more
  • Special guest appearances
  • Motivational Speakers – Life Skills Content
  • Instructional videos:  "Magic Johnson's Fundamental Basketball", College Coaches content
  • D.E.A.R-Drop Everything and Read 
  • Mentoring: positive guidance and reinforcement for present and future endeavors
  • Academic Enrichment: Math, Reading, and Critical Thinking facilitated by certified instructors

These core activities define who we are at The Sky Is The Limit Basketball . Our focus is on the individual. We expose our campers to a variety of activities throughout the day to keep them mentally and physically engaged. In addition, parents are encouraged to drop in any time to observe and view the structure of our program. 

PROGRAM GOALS

Our goals for the basketball program are divided into three areas: 

1. Emotional Goals – We increase our camper’s confidence and self-esteem by redirecting their attention on “we” instead of “me” . . . and getting results by focusing on the task at hand, instead of giving in to peer pressure or other such fears.

2. Mental Goals – We give our campers a clear sense of purpose and vision of where their skills can take them.  We help them understand the mental toughness that is required to make it in the physically demanding sport of basketball, as well as in life. We encourage them to make choices they can take pride in which is an important part of their mental conditioning.  We build self-esteem through positive encouragement and getting them to buy into the fact that they can succeed at anything they desire . . . ultimately living out . . . "The Sky Is the Limit."

3. Physical Goals – We focus on creating healthy lifestyles through rigorous conditioning and understanding the importance of physical fitness.  We improve each campers' basketball skills, help them gain a better understanding of the game and instill in them the benefits of practice, exercise, and hard work.
